key responsibilities
architecture design, ownership & alignment
define, validate, and evolve technical architecture alongside development teams, ensuring alignment with product vision and delivery goals.
represent architecture in agile ceremonies, grooming, planning, and design sessions.
translate architecture into working solutions — collaborating on service and ui patterns, interfaces, data contracts, and nfrs (scalability, observability, security).
drive architecture definition and decision-making for your teams while ensuring alignment with concourse platform patterns and practices.
propose and jointly build proofs of concept (pocs) with teams to de-risk architecture and validate approaches before wider implementation.
act as the offshore/onshore bridge for architecture, working directly with u.s.-based leads to communicate context, validate direction, and ensure technical cohesion.
hands-on engineering leadership
stay immersed in the codebase — contributing directly to features, refactors, reviews, and ci/cd practices.
serve as a technical guide for engineers, modeling clean code practices, testing strategies, and patterns.
support developers with hands-on guidance, unblock technical issues, and debug complex system behaviors as needed.
technical team delivery & developer enablement
work with tech leads across multiple teams to ensure successful delivery of technical outcomes.
partner with tech leads and delivery managers to ensure consistent execution across sprints and pis.
identify gaps in implementation, drive resolution, and maintain quality under real-world constraints.
identify and implement tooling or practices that improve developer experience and velocity.
encourage a consultative mindset across the team: helping devs understand the "why" behind the "what."
mentorship & talent development
actively mentor engineers and architects — offering feedback through pairing, prs, design sessions, and retrospectives.
foster growth across the team by sharing architectural principles, tech knowledge, and delivery best practices.
evaluate technical strengths and development areas to guide talent evolution.
operational & support readiness
be the primary technical responder on critical support and incident calls when needed.
lead technical triage, collaborate with developers, and guide root-cause resolution.
ensure issues are followed by post-incident rca (root cause analysis), automation, and testing improvements to avoid recurrence.
how you work
builder's mentality: you believe architecture is validated through working code, not just diagrams.
leadership through presence: you lead by doing and gain influence by investing in people and outcomes.
collaborative by default: you work across boundaries, partner with platform and solution architects, and embrace feedback loops.
ownership mindset: you own outcomes from whiteboard to prod, and care deeply about the impact of your solutions.
embedded, not detached: you believe architects should be in the trenches, guiding and supporting developers where it matters most — in code and in conversations.
connector: you collaborate across geographies and roles, ensuring alignment, understanding, and delivery across boundaries.
problem solver: you're not afraid to dive into logs, debug code, or jump on a support call — and then drive process or tech improvements to prevent recurrence.
mentor & multiplier: you grow talent around you and raise the bar through your presence and leadership.
what you'll bring to the team
a systems-thinking mindset with a passion for clean, sustainable architecture.
a consultative approach that enables teams to solve problems while aligning with enterprise standards.
confidence navigating complex environments with multiple stakeholder groups.
a proactive drive to lead architecture from concept to delivery.
