as a lead mechanical design engineer, you will be responsible for:
* creating drill bit design and manufacturing packages utilizing 3-d modeling and data management systems
* interfacing with field, manufacturing, and technology groups to improve product performance and process efficiency
* documenting and sharing lessons learned, with cross functional groups
* supporting manufacturing with problem solving and issue resolution
* conducting all activities in line with our non-negotiables, and applicable processes for hse, quality, legal compliance and cultural pillars
fuel your passion
to be successful in this role you will:
* have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college
* 5+ years relevant experience in a mechanical engineering role
* have experience with 3d cad systems - eg siemens nx
* be familiar with product data management systems - eg teamcenter
* have experience with simulations software for finite element analysis & computational fluid dynamics
* be able to select engineering techniques and utilize analysis tools to solve problems and makes sound design recommendations
* be familiar with mechanical component designs and applied methods
* drive consistent usage of product design standards (and support updates)
* may be the lead on engineering projects with some functional supervision
* fluent in english, for both oral and written
