Position overview
we are seeking a senior accountant with ideal proven experience in the construction industry to manage and oversee the company’s accounting operations. The ideal candidate is highly experienced, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with strong expertise in quickbooks.
key responsibilities
* manage full-cycle accounting, including ap, ar, general ledger, and month-end close
* oversee job costing, project-based accounting, and cost tracking for construction projects
* prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and variance analyses
* ensure accurate recording of construction-related expenses, including labor, materials, and subcontractors
* reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and project accounts
* ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies
* support cash flow management and financial forecasting
* collaborate with project managers and leadership to provide financial insights
* manage and optimize accounting processes within quickbooks
requirements
* senior-level experience as an accountant, preferably within the construction industry
* strong knowledge of construction accounting, including job costing and wip (work in progress)
* advanced proficiency in quickbooks
* solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
* high attention to detail and strong analytical skills
* ability to work independently and take ownership of the accounting function
* strong communication skills in english (c1 or above)
