The project coordinator will be responsible for leading and coordinating flexible packaging project developments, from multi‑layer films to spouted pouches. The role ensures that projects are managed efficiently, meeting established deadlines, quality, and budget while guaranteeing customer satisfaction. It requires a proactive individual capable of coordinating multidisciplinary teams and quickly mastering technical topics related to the flexible packaging industry.
Responsibilities
project management
plan, coordinate, and oversee the development of flexible packaging projects from conception to final implementation.
Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with the required quality standards, covering everything from raw material definition to processes, supply chain timing, costing, document release, delivery to customers, testing, validation, and industrial scalability with customer products.
With defined plans and activities, closely monitor the completion of each step and support the various production processes involved.
Team leadership
coordinate multidisciplinary work teams, leading them to focus activities and planning to achieve objectives.
Lead a team under one’s responsibility to coordinate projects across different markets, clients, applications, and/or divisions within the company.
Foster a collaborative and efficient environment, ensuring each team member meets objectives and responsibilities.
Maintain productive relationships with similar positions at other plants within the group to share best practices and implement know‑how transfer exercises when innovations are validated elsewhere.
Customer relations
maintain constant communication with customers to understand their needs, expectations, and feedback regarding projects.
Participate actively in meetings and material trials at customer lines, supporting development, validation, presenting project progress, resolving technical questions with the team, and proposing options that meet customer needs.
Technical development and continuous improvement
quickly learn about technical manufacturing processes related to flexible packaging, or bring prior experience in the flexible packaging (or similar) industry.
Propose process improvements, always seeking cost and quality optimization.
Ensure that packaging solutions comply with regulations and market/client standards, collaborating with regulatory affairs, quality assurance, and technical specialists.
Quality control
in collaboration with quality assurance, analyze the product application, client needs, testing, and processes performed by the client to create a quality control plan consistent with established standards.
Requirements
university degree in chemical, industrial, or related engineering (preferable).
3‑5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in flexible packaging or a similar field.
Knowledge or ability to quickly learn flexible packaging technical processes.
Experience in project management, team coordination, and client management.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and discuss with clients.
Advanced english proficiency.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proactive attitude, problem‑solving skills, and quick decision‑making.
Ability to interpret technical concepts, requirements, documents, and regulations (preferred).
