your mission, roles and responsibilities
regional logistics operations manager leads and coordinates the logistics activities with pc&l managers sites and team members within the plants asigned on the scope.
this role will be focused on activities of tracking and improvement actions for inventory levels acording to targets, improvements on the supply chain, overseeing transportation and warehousing, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and optimizing costs.
key responsibilities:
lead the logistics team and set pc&l objectives according to targets set by the division ( inventory levels, cash, headcount, logistic equipment, premium freight,...)
coaching and asessment on inventory, delivery basics, internal control basics and standar logistic processes.
collaboration with other functions teams, central and shopfloor logistic and production lines areas by ensuring regulatory compliance
regular monitoring to ensure respect on standar defided for optimal operation to maintain materials and products efficient flow across the division.
review plants performance and lead to implement necessary improvement actions in coordination with operations teams.
consolidate and report weekly and monthly all kpis defined by division pc&l director
regular meetings and reporting with business group team
remote and on site support during crisis mode.
collaboratewith the purchasing organization in all activities related to on onboarding and actual suppliers for non centralized materials, consignment and bonded warehouse.
your profile and competencies to succeed
qualifications:
minimum education level:bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management or related field
experience: 8 years of materials positions experience, 3 to 5 as logistics manager
skills & competencies:
sap planning, scheduling modules and standar transactions/reports for analisis and decision making
root cause analysis, data analysis skills
problem resolution with negotiation and diplomatic approach
quick plant evaluation ability from prior manufacturing experience
knowledge of value stream mapping, lean manufacturing, material flow, elimination of non-value added work, inventory turns
possess warehouse organization /management skills
profound management on customer/supplier relationships
excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly with people from different backgrounds and foreign language (english)
