the role
the cloud field engineering manager oversees line management, technical presales, and project delivery. You will develop engineering talent, represent your team technically, and collaborate with other teams and customers. Active participation in presales is expected.

this is a home-based role managing a team in your time zone.

1. lead and develop a team of field engineers in presales and professional services.
2. solve customer problems and act as a trusted advisor.

qualifications
* knowledge of cloud computing (kubernetes, openstack, aws, gcp, azure, ceph).
* practical linux and networking skills.
* experience in technical presales.
* strong communication skills in english.
* experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring engineers.
* organizational skills to ensure timely, high-quality results.
* willingness to travel up to 40%.
preferred additional skills
* second languages such as spanish or french.
* knowledge of python.
* experience working with external partners and internal teams.
