this position reports to: el customer operations manager
your role and responsibilities
* support the sales organization and its customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost‐effective solutions.
* serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area.
* prepare technical descriptions for the applied products and technology.
* provide timely warranty support to abb sales, abb distributors, oems, contractors, and end users.
* perform analytics and diagnostic studies to determine the most suitable technical solution to meet the customer needs and propose the most suitable technical solutions for complex enquiries.

this role is contributing to the electrification business for the smart power division in us market.
qualifications for the role
* bs in electrical or mechanical engineering or a minimum of 5 years equivalent experience.
* high energy level, self‐starter, highly analytical, and strong customer service.

job summary
* serves as the initial contact for our sales agencies to assist with products, systems and solutions issues.
* takes ownership for assuring that issues are resolved timely and effectively for the customer directly and involving partners in the company for an effective resolution.
* this position is first and foremost a key frontline service element of acuity brands, with emphasis on customer satisfaction, responsiveness, fiscal responsibility, commercial sensitivity and timeliness.
key tasks & responsibilities (essential functions)
* learn products and processes pertaining to the warranty services standard work and product playbooks.
* document field labor claims and replacement fixture or parts data.
* learn to utilize lean tools to improve processes, communication and resolutions for acuity brands products, systems and solutions to drive improved customer satisfaction and a reduction of quality costs.
requirements
* bachelor's degree or equivalent in work experience.
* 0-2 years of experience in customer service field.
* computer competence and familiarity with microsoft office programs.
* bilingual english / spanish.
