Designerds has an immediate opening for a highly skilled and organized senior visual designer to join our team. You must have agency or equivalent in-house experience to be considered for this position.
*about the opportunity*
as a senior visual designer at designerds, you'll be working on a variety of design tasks, including production design, digital design (involving web and ui/ux), corporate identity, marketing/advertising, and product design as we serve clients in a myriad of diverse industries. You should have strong graphic design and layout skills, with an understanding of industry-standard communication design principles.
Print and packaging design experience is a plus.

*what you'll be doing*
- develop effective, on-brand, and on-strategy creative including (but not limited to): concepts, sketches, storyboards, wireframes, final digital assets (i.e. landing pages, banners, graphics, packaging renders, resized assets, social media graphics, banner ads, illustrations, simple animations/gifs). Deliver consistently high-quality design to delight our clients
- collaborate with project managers and relevant designerds team members to fulfill client needs and deliver exceptional design.
- work autonomously and as part of a project team to complete daily design requests.
- create detailed documentation of client design specifications.
- be comfortable with evolving project requirements and shifting priorities.
- be proactive in keeping current with design trends and technologies to ensure high-quality deliverables, including ai technologies.
- utilize keynote, g-slides, and powerpoint to create exceptional deck content used in pitching concepts, supporting speaker presentations at events, and internal case studies and retrospectives.
- create simple motion graphics and animations (2d).
- conduct photography searches and execute complex editing and retouching.
- possess excellent communication skills, including interfacing with clients.
- collaborate with project managers on new projects and take direction from creative and art directors.
- follow creative briefs and brand guidelines to accomplish client-requested design work according to best practices.
- explain and support technical decisions for design work, and present to both internal stakeholders and clients.
- participate in constructive critiques and collaborative brainstorms.
- package projects for handoff to teammates for final delivery.
- research new design strategies, technologies, and software, staying up to date on latest trends and best practices.
*required experience & skills*
- *4+ years of experience as a visual designer in a creative agency, in-house design team, or equivalent.*:
- bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in art, graphic design, or related field.
- *proficiency in standard design tools: adobe creative cloud (photoshop, illustrator, indesign), figma, keynote and ppt.*:
- proficiency in basic video editing and animation using after effects.
- proficiency in or willingness to learn and adopt ai tools and technologies.
- ability to clearly present design ideas, concepts, and projects, and to constructively receive design instruction and criticism.
- attention to detail with the ability to self-qc work, accurately estimate expected time to complete tasks.
- a strong understanding of social media and other digital platforms.
- excellent oral and written english communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.
- ability to speak/hear clearly in video conference (zoom/google meet).
- organization and time management with the ability to balance multiple simultaneous projects quickly and efficiently.
- ability to work independently as well as part of a team including project managers, creative directors, art directors, copywriters, and designers.
- familiarity and use of company software including but not limited to: slack, clickup, and g-suite.
