POSITION SUMMARY
Cost accountant is responsible for the analysis and accuracy of product cost, price and usage variance as well as the integrity of inventory accounts, ensure product costing – pricing is based on accurate product costs, measures such as scrap, purchase price and material usage variances.
This information allows management to take actions as necessary to achieve organizational goals, Drives for yearly standard prices set-up, and new materials and products standard prices load.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform analysis of product and material cost variations.
- Audit and optimize continuously, the formulas used for costings determining the root cause of the variations in standard costs.
- Perform account reconciliations in accordance with company policies and processes.
- Guaranteed, from the financial aspects, the correct process and result of physical inventories.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in accounting or finance.
- Required previous experience, 4 - 8 years.
- Desirable certifications.
- Strong analytical skills
- Product Costing experience.
- Product costing, CAPEX & Projects management experience (desirable)
- Strong excel, MPR, accounting systems, reporting / consolidation systems.
- Bilingual, proven leadership & excellent communication skills
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
The role is primarily based in a manufacturing facility, requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams.
Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
The role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.
Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings, presentations, or site visits
Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
