*the role*:
as senior programmer analyst you will train, mentor and assist other programmer analysts in the group as needed.
- ability to complete projects and other tasks efficiently and within the allocated timelines with little or no supervision.
- ability to thoroughly review design specifications and/or user requirements.
- participate in functional and/or technical discussions with project team and/or client.
- keep project team informed of project status in relation to quality and timelines.
- ability to thoroughly component test code to minimize the number of programming errors.
- write study installation procedures if applicable.
- assist other programmers with tasks as needed including install procedures, code reviews, component testing, and programming.
- perform ivrs/iwrs configurations and related activities if applicable.
- other related responsibilities may be assigned as required by the needs of the department.
- write technical specifications or other technical documents if applicable.
- develop/maintain system wide programming standards/guidelines as needed to improve efficiency and promote quality and consistency.
- ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- ability to perform technical research and propose viable technical solutions.
- ability to work on any software product feature.
- travel approximately 10 % domestic and/or international.
*you will need*:
- bachelors degree or local equivalent in computer science, information systems/technology, or a related discipline, relevant work experience may be substituted.
- an alternative combination of experience, education and training determined by management to be equivalent to the foregoing
- minimum 6 years web development experience with asp, asp.net, html, css and/or java script.
- minimum 6 years sql programming experience.
- minimum 6 years object oriented programming experience.
- ability to work effectively on multiple tasks with multiple deadlines.
- ability to liaise successfully with other team members, other departments and clients.
- ability to understand and program a design of all levels of complexity.
- extensive problem solving and debugging skills.
- due to the nature of this position it may be required for the employee to travel.
therefore, dependent on the employee's location, the employee may be required to possess a valid driver's license.
