this is a technical leadership role to spearhead a team that develops and maintains micro-services powering our global software distribution engine. Our vision is to revolutionize the experience of users worldwide with open source software by expanding the range of software deliverable through this system.
* main responsibilities:
1. lead a remote team of engineers, foster growth through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and hands-on career development.
2. set and manage expectations with other engineering teams, management, and external stakeholders.
3. promote a healthy, collaborative engineering culture aligned with company values.

experience in leading modern, agile software development practices, including forming a collaborative engineering culture.
demonstrated ability to be a role model for sound engineering principles and contribute towards team goals.
willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
