dynamic and varying demands on the cryptography team require effective interface to it and the broader business.
this role is part of the operational function, managing hardware, software, and services from inception to deployment to redundancy to ensure the best outcomes possible for the business and its use of encryption technology.responsibilitiesthe cryptography operations team directly impacts the business by implementing cryptographic solutions aligned to hsbc standards and the business' risk appetite.
this role involves managing cryptographic hardware and related software used in cryptography, its configuration, crypto-load, and installation into data centers and/or external hosting environments.develop applicable knowledge objects, procedures, and secondary standards to support agreed slas and project deliverables.maintain and enhance the delivery of cryptographic technology, processes, and relevant controls.ensure crypto-related inventory controls (key and hsm) are maintained.implement and operate effectiveness of cryptographic controls.
contribute to risk reduction, escalation, and reporting.
