about the role:
as a country hr director for mexico, you will lead the effective implementation of hr policies and procedures in all sites, provide guidance to apply them properly and elevate issues to the right level in the organization.
you will be the leader of the valeo employee services in the country to optimize hr resources and quality of hr services.
you will provide sites with efficient services such as payroll and administration, talent acquisition, and training administration.
this role will be based in our san luis potosi, mx site.
responsibilities also include:
leading the deployment of all hr processes (compensation & benefits, employee relations, hris, ip and talent development) and consolidating the results of these processes at country level (when needed).
deploys the hr strategy defined at group and division levels and elaborates yearly the country talent and employee relations strategy to reach the business objectives derived from mid term planning and budget orientations.
always connected to the hr community (group & division hr teams, hr centers of expertise and valeo employee services centers) and to the management teams, the country hr is also the preferred entry point to advise and support all hr activities in a dedicated country, behaving as a business partner.
leads valeo employee services (ves)
attracts, selects and develops the right competences to staff the ves teams (talent acquisition, payroll and personnel administration and training administration).
leads the preparation and follow up of the mtp and budget for the ves teams (ex: headcount forecast, salary evolutions, competences and resources needed, productivity plans,...).
defines the hr priorities with operations and shares the action plans associated with all relevant ves teams (ex: talent acquisition, training, payroll & pa) and in the hr community in the country.
coordinates sourcing, recruitment (with tac support, for i&c) and on-boarding activities between sites, in line with budget objectives.
is responsible of all hr administration tasks which are directly managed by the ves center (ex: payroll, benefits management, personnel administration...).
monitors the quality of hr services through regular follow up and service level agreement reviews with ves teams and sites.
answers to managers' claims related to ves activities.
follows the ves hr indicators and proposes corrective actions in case of deviation vs forecast/objectives.
leads the deployment of hr processes and share related expertise
leads and supports the deployment of all hr processes (including sdp/idp, salary review and mid-year/annual appraisal campaigns, training plan, people reviews and internal mobility) in the country.
elaborates yearly the country talent and employee relations strategy, taking into consideration market trends, business objectives, mtp and budget data.
leads the involvement of personnel axe and internal communication actions at country level.
leads the c&b processes at country level (including shareholding plans, salary reviews, ltr and retention plans...), based on guidance from group and division.
animates and promotes health, safety and ergonomics activities at country level, together with the hse leader.
leads employee relations, supported by division and group hr teams, to capture business trends and anticipate possible consequences on future operations.
leads negotiation processes (if applicable).
facilitates individual development plan for ft and succession development plan follow up, as an advisor.
prepares and follows the hr indicators; proposes corrective actions in case of deviation vs forecast/objectives.
assesses the general work ambiance and the motivation factors for the teams in the country, together with site hr.
elaborates the action plan linked to the employee feedback survey results at country level and supports its deployment in all sites.
leads or contributes to the hr projects defined at group or division levels.
represents the hr community in m&a activities (by delegation from group hr or division hr).
provides guidance and leads the effective implementation of hr policies and procedures (hrpp)
hr bp & advisor for the national directorate (vhg) teams.
mentors and initiate coaching actions (when needed) to develop nd management team leadership.
deploys valeo culture and csr activities (ex: 5 axes, ethics and compliance, people ethics, diversity, well-being at work...) with all support functions.
facilitates and supports the deployment of organizational changes managed at country level (ex: employee relations, internal communication, training, mobility, c&b,...).
solves problems linked to organizational, communication or management issues in nd teams.
ensures proper deployment and application of hr policies and procedures in all sites.
supports or leads the escalation of any deviation to hrpp or people ethics in real time, respecting the processes defined.
listens to employees and managers in vhg teams to create a positive social climate, reinforcing employees' engagement and avoiding legal risks/disputes.
leads conflict resolution between employees or between managers in vhg teams, as a mediator.
manages disciplinary and legal procedures, when needed.
entry point for connections to local stakeholders (by delegation from country president or group hr vp or division hrd).
what you should have:
*+ years of progressive hr experience, including senior leadership roles
proven experience leading hr for a country, region, or large business unit
experience in an oem or tier 1 supplier.
experience partnering with executive leadership and influencing business strategy
demonstrated success managing complex employee relations and organizational change
experience working within a matrixed or multinational organization
experience in mexico employment and labor laws, employee relations, workforce governance, compensation, benefits, and workforce planning
experience within talent acquisition, succession planning, leadership development and performance management and engagement strategies.
