job summary
we are seeking a skilled to join our pune it team. You’ll own the design, deployment, and maintenance of our us based client windows server and active directory infrastructure, assist with virtualization using hyper-v, and escalate and resolve complex end-user issues.
Key responsibilities:
- windows server & ad management
- install, configure, and patch windows server (2012/2016/2019).
- design and administer active directory domain services, group policy, dns, and dhcp.
- hyper-v virtualization
- deploy and manage hyper-v hosts, virtual machines, snapshots, and replication.
- optimize vm performance and resource allocation.
- infrastructure operations
- monitor server health, capacity planning, backups, and disaster-recovery drills.
- implement security hardening and industry best practices.
- end-user support & troubleshooting
- provide tier-2 support for complex active directory or server-related tickets.
- automation & documentation
- automate routine tasks using powershell scripts.
- maintain up-to-date runbooks, network diagrams, and sops.
Must-have skills
- 4-6 years managing windows server and active directory in production.
- hands-on experience with hyper-v virtualization.
- strong powershell scripting for automation.
- excellent problem-solving skills and ability to tackle escalated end-user issues.
- good understanding of basic networking (tcp/ip, vlans, firewalls).
Preferred certifications
- microsoft certified: windows server hybrid administrator associate
- mcsa / mcse or equivalent experience
