This would be a full-time, six-month position. The schedule is mon-fri 1st or 2nd shift. Key responsibilities: oversee manufacturing and production control activities, identifying process constraints, quality issues, and production planning gaps.review production schedules and material plans to proactively identify risks, including inventory shortages, inspection delays, and logistics bottlenecks.perform part expediting, serving as on-site client representation to ensure suppliers deliver parts on time, to schedule, and to contracted quality and technical specifications.analyze production data to monitor progress, productivity, and accuracy.update erp systems with current production, inventory, and material usage information.maintain accurate records of work-in-progress (wip), finished goods, and material flow throughout the production cycle.required qualifications: bachelor's degree in engineering, or high school diploma plus 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or production control (maquiladora environment).bilingual – fluent in spanish and english (spoken and written).strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.results-oriented and proactive, with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.proficiency in microsoft excel and familiarity with erp or mrp systems.availability for overtime and weekend work as needed.preferred qualificationexperience in automotive, electrical, or high-volume manufacturing environments.knowledge of lean manufacturing, kaizen, 5s, or six sigma principles.understanding of production planning, supply chain coordination, or inventory optimization.prior experience working directly with suppliers or as an on-site client liaison.familiarity with quality management systems (qms) and basic problem-solving methodologies (8d, root cause analysis, capa).demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
