About the role
we are seeking an experienced and proactive person to lead and optimize operations for a key client within uber freight’s tms division. This role will drive daily performance, foster client satisfaction, and lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure operational excellence. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with logistics expertise and the ability to manage complex, fast-paced environments.
key responsibilities
* serve as the primary operational point of contact for the client, ensuring service excellence and maintaining strong relationships.
* lead and develop a high-performing, multidisciplinary team to deliver daily logistics operations with precision.
* drive operational efficiency through data analysis, process optimization, and performance monitoring (kpis).
* coordinate with internal teams including carrier management, procurement, finance, brokerage, and analytics to streamline execution and address operational challenges.
* partner with client engagement and planning teams (us & mx) to align regional expectations and foster transparency.
* manage escalation processes with urgency and clear communication to avoid service interruptions.
* lead weekly operational planning meetings with the client and internal stakeholders.
* contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using lean, six sigma, or similar methodologies.
required qualifications
* 5+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations management.
* proven experience managing and developing teams, preferably in dynamic or high-pressure environments.
* strong background in automotive logistics or jit operations.
* advanced english proficiency (spoken and written) – required for daily interaction with international clients and teams.
* hands-on experience with tms platforms and analytical tools (excel, tableau, power bi, etc.).
* demonstrated ability to manage client relationships, resolve conflicts, and deliver customer-centric solutions.
* strong decision-making and prioritization skills under pressure.
preferred qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, logistics, or related field.
* knowledge of cross-border logistics and north american transportation networks.
* experience in process improvement and change management.
* previous work in multicultural, bilingual settings (mexico/us).
