Key responsibilities
the item master team lead is accountable for overseeing the creation, maintenance, and governance of item data across multiple systems.
* data governance & maintenance:
o ensure accurate setup of item attributes.
o maintain compliance with procurement enablement requirements.
o oversee cleansing efforts to remove unused items.
* team leadership:
o lead and mentor team members responsible for item master domains.
o allocate tasks for data conversions.
o provide backup support when needed.
* process & compliance:
o implement approval workflows for supplier code changes.
o ensure category manager involvement.
* cross-functional collaboration:
o coordinate with procurement, finance, and it teams for integration projects.
o support cpq and prw enhancements.
* reporting & analysis:
o provide regular extracts and reports for data conversion.
o audits, and compliance checks.
this role ensures data integrity, compliance with procurement policies, and alignment with global standards.
