dematic/kion is seeking a payroll supervisor – mexico to manage end-to-end payroll operations for mexico within our global organization. This role is critical to ensuring compliant, accurate, and timely payroll execution while serving as a key partner to hr, finance, it, and external vendors.

tasks and qualifications
* oversee end-to-end payroll processing for mexico, including weekly and bi-weekly cycles, off‐cycle payrolls, and final settlements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for three legal entities
* ensure full compliance with mexican labor and statutory regulations, including lft, imss, infonavit, afore, isr, and cfdi nómina
* validate and manage payroll inputs such as employee data, time records, bonuses, deductions, benefits, vacation, and aguinaldo
* lead and develop the payroll team, assigning workloads, ensuring coverage, and providing training and guidance
* act as the primary point of contact for payroll escalations, resolving complex discrepancies and employee inquiries
* generate payroll reports and respond to government requirements (sat, imss), audits, and internal controls
* partner closely with finance to validate payroll entries, reconcile accounts, and support month‐end and year‐end close activities
* drive process improvement initiatives focused on standardization, automation, and documentation, in collaboration with the u.s. Director of payroll
* coordinate with internal stakeholders (hr, it, finance) and third‐party vendors (tress, ukg wfm) to ensure seamless payroll operations
what we are looking for
* strong expertise in mexican payroll, labor law, and social security regulations
* proven experience managing end‐to‐end payroll processes, including cfdi timbrado, tax calculations, and statutory benefits
* hands‐on experience with payroll and hr systems such as sap, workday, tress, ukg wfm, or similar platforms
* experience leading or supervising a payroll team
* strong analytical and problem‐solving skills to resolve complex payroll discrepancies
* excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and customer service mindset
* ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
* effective communication skills in spanish and english (required)
* bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field preferred
