* develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with csm's business objectives.
* identify cost‐saving opportunities and implement best practices in procurement processes.
* cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
* negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
* evaluate vendor performance and implement performance improvement measures as needed.
* oversee the end‐to‐end procurement process, including requisition, sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
* ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
* implement and maintain procurement tools and systems to enhance efficiency.
* drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining product and service quality.
* analyze market trends and industry benchmarks to make informed procurement decisions.
* timely and accurate project completion within budget.
* identify and mitigate procurement‐related risks.
* develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the supply chain.
* collaborate with various departments, including finance, administration and it, to understand their procurement needs and align strategies accordingly.
* foster a collaborative and communicative environment across the organization.
* build and lead a high‐performing procurement team.
* provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities for team members.
* proven experience in a senior procurement role, with at least 20 years of progressive responsibility.
* previous experience in the it industry is highly desirable.
* strong negotiation and contract management skills.
* excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
* in‐depth knowledge of procurement regulations, market trends, and industry best practices.
* leadership and team management skills.
* ability to effectively communicate complex procurement concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
