Job responsibilities
* under general supervision, performs varied purchasing assignments.
* meet targets and achieve annual budget savings.
* liaison between engineering and vendors.
* analyze demands and make purchases as required.
* good communication and negotiation skills.
* work with purchasing good practices.
* follow up on timely delivery from suppliers.
* maintain appropriate inventory levels.
* perform other duties or special projects as requested.
* attend meetings, phone calls, e-mails, and maintain records.
* perform purchasing guidelines to achieve the company goals.
minimum requirements
* minimum of 3 years’ experience in the sourcing or supply chain department;
* experience in supplier development and cost reduction strategies;
* good communication skills, both verbal and written;
* minimum of 1 year’s experience in a manufacturing environment;
* establishing and maintaining effective working relationships;
* ability to read and understand mrp, safety stock, sales order shortage reports, and engineering projects;
* knowledge of pc and database programs, including ms office;
* must have excellent organizational and typing skills;
* experience in an iso production environment;
