Mhp management and it consulting méxico began operations in october, currently with over 30 team members. Our headquarters is located in guadalajara, where we operate in a modern office environment with a flexible hybrid work model.role overviewas head of finance for mhp mexico, you will be a key strategic and operational leader, responsible for shaping the financial function of our newly established mexican entity. This position requires both high-level vision and strong execution skills to ensure the subsidiary's full integration into the global mhp group. Your role will span strategy, financial governance, risk and compliance, and team development, directly supporting the ceo and group finance leadership.key responsibilities1. Strategic developmentdesign and implement the financial strategy of mhp mexico in alignment with the ceo and mhp group.support the design and development of business processes for a scalable financial organization.ensure financial integration of the new mexican entity into mhp group systems and standards.deliver strategic insights through financial analysis of trends, costs, and revenues.control operating and financial risks, and drive cost-efficiency across the organization.2. Financial operations and controllead all financial management areas including accounting, capital, budgeting, tax, and reporting.execute and supervise month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes in full compliance with ifrs, niif, and group standards.execute and oversee treasury operations including cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and financing strategy.define and monitor key financial kpis and ensure consistent, accurate reporting to group finance.implement and maintain strong internal control systems including tax ics and compliance frameworks.execute and supervise transaction processing including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.3. Legal, compliance, and risk managementcoordinate with external tax consultants, cpas, and legal advisors to ensure compliance with mexican regulations.jointly with the ceo, supervise legal and compliance processes, including the review and development of contract terms.act as risk manager for mhp mexico; lead implementation of local risk management systems and report to mhp group.manage all audit-related activities (internal, external, and regulatory).4. Corporate and shared services interfaceperform and oversee finance-related procurement and purchasing processes, ensuring budget adherence and efficiency.act as the primary contact for mhp group shared services and third-party service providers related to financial matters.collaborate with internal it and operations teams on finance-related system issues and infrastructure.5. Leadership and team developmentbuild and lead a high-performing finance team for mhp mexico.support the development of local management structure in collaboration with the ceo.provide cross-functional leadership and engage with senior stakeholders across departments and geographies.oversee the financial governance of current and future mhp mexico locations.6. Group reporting & stakeholder communicationprepare and present finance-related insights to group management.ensure full transparency and timely communication with mhp group finance and executive leadership.qualificationseducationbachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.master's degree or professional certification (e.g., cpa, cfa, mba) preferred.experience6+ years of experience in fp&a and p&l ownership, ideally in an international or startup environment.4+ years in a finance leadership role within a mexican company or subsidiary.advanced knowledge of ifrs, niif, and consolidated financial reporting.expertise in mexican payroll, tax compliance, and financial regulation.strong track record in budgeting, financial planning, and cost control.experience working with cross-border teams in the u.s. and europe.proficient in microsoft excel and financial reporting tools.experience with sap is a strong plus; knowledge of s/4hana and familiarity with sap fi/co modules are also highly desirable.
