about the role
6+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and 3+ category management of capex categories. Sort equipment experience considered a plus. The candidate should have experience in negotiating complex epc (engineering, procurement & construction) contracts, performing cost analyses based on tco, building clean sheet / should-cost models, and stakeholder management. Experience in leading integral capex and opex category management of material handling / sortation equipment, contracting integration of sortation systems, and strategic sourcing of sorters, conveyor belts, and weight-and-dimension equipment is required. The candidate should also have experience in leading tenders for complex capital projects and negotiations of epc contracts. Projects in the logistics or warehouse industry or with baggage handling equipment in airports. They may have worked for major competitors of fed ex.
