overview
we are seeking a highly analytical senior financial analyst to join a fast-paced and dynamic environment supporting a portfolio of software and tech-enabled clients. This is a full-time hands-on role ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional with experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance — someone who excels at building clean, scalable models and can distill actionable insights from complex data.
this role requires advanced excel proficiency, exposure to saas or software business models, and the ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and meet tight deliverables. A sharp sense of ownership, curiosity, and professionalism is essential.
responsibilities
* financial modeling & forecasting
* build and manage operating models, budgeting templates, and financial forecasts.
* conduct ad hoc analysis such as ltv/cac, margin tracking, and customer cohort analysis.
* maintain and improve cash flow models (including 13-week cash forecasts when required).
* support strategic finance deliverables such as fundraising models and board-level reporting.
* data analysis & kpi tracking
* extract and synthesize insights from raw data sets (e.g., revenue, customer, churn, cash).
* help define and track custom kpis for clients across industries (e.g., "burrito throughput").
* automate reporting and recurring insights delivery via excel, google sheets, or dashboards.
* reporting & communication
* deliver financial insights in clear, well-written memos or emails.
* create concise and visually polished presentations (e.g., google slides or powerpoint).
* work asynchronously with well-structured communication, delivering work on deadline.
qualifications
must-have
* 3–5+ years of experience in fp&a or finance, including:
* 2+ years in investment banking, private equity
* fp&a or finance experience at a startup or high-growth company is a strong plus.
* strong command of financial modeling, including:
* 3-statement models
* fluent in spoken and written english.
* advanced excel or google sheets proficiency.
* willingness to relocate to monterrey if the company establishes an office there.
* comfortable working independently and hitting strict deadlines without daily oversight.
nice-to-have
* experience modeling revenue for software / saas businesses.
* exposure to dashboard automation tools (power bi, google data studio, etc.).
* knowledge of accounting or billing systems is a plus.
* willingness to evolve into a full-time role as responsibilities expand.
