the plant controller is a key member of the plant leadership team and a strategic business partner to the plant manager and operations leaders. This role drives financial performance, supports decision-making, and ensures the plant meets its operational and financial targets. Unlike traditional roles, this position is highly focused on business partnering, as transactional accounting activities are handled by a financial solutions center.
key responsibilities
* partner with plant manager and leadership team to drive business performance
* lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes
* analyze plant performance (costing, variances, margins) and provide actionable insights
* support investment decisions and capital projects (capex, automation, etc.)
* drive cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
* manage standard costing and support inventory control
* ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate policies
what your background should look like profile
* bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
* proven experience as a plant controller in a manufacturing environment (must-have)
* strong background in cost accounting, standard costing, and financial analysis
* experience partnering with operations and influencing decision‑making
* sap and advanced excel skills preferred
* mba or professional certification (cpa/acca/cima) is a plus
* advanced english
