Supplier quality engineer role
key responsibilities:
* monitor and assess supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality standards.
* implement corrective actions and verify their effectiveness in addressing quality issues.
* collaborate with suppliers to refine control plans and drive ongoing improvements.
* conduct failure analysis on non-conforming products and identify areas for improvement.
* participate in component qualifications, including ppap, msa, and supplier control plans.
* develop and maintain supplier scorecards to track performance and progress.
* manage the qualification process for changes initiated by suppliers and the company.
* prepare monthly suppliers' quality trend analysis reports.
* support supplier audits and maintenance processes, including inspections.
required qualifications:
* bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as quality, mechanical or industrial engineering.
* at least 3 years of experience in supplier quality management.
* excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, including proficiency in six sigma methodology.
* experience in a regulated industry, preferably in medical devices.
* strong verbal and written communication skills in english.
* knowledge of medical device regulations and standards.
* ability to read and understand technical data.
* familiarity with sampling plans and other statistical techniques.
* internal or lead auditor certification is highly desirable.
