Indirect buyer job description
we are seeking a skilled indirect buyer to join our team in executing global indirect procurement strategies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing costs and ensuring efficient supply of indirect materials and services for the automotive industry.
* the successful candidate will optimize administrative management of purchase orders through technological tools, control budgets and kpis for the category, and ensure availability and delivery times for indirect materials and services.
* additionally, the candidate will conduct negotiations with suppliers to obtain competitive terms, generate cost reduction initiatives, prevent supply disruptions, guarantee operational capacity of suppliers, and manage key supplier relationships.
a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, and/or economics is required. 5+ years of experience in purchasing (capital, strategic sourcing, negotiation) is also necessary. Excellent project management and communication skills are a must.
