**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provides project engineering function for Electric Drive Systems in Torrance, California
- Responsible for the execution and oversight of long-term electric drive systems and motor controller engineering projects.
- Plans, estimates, and schedules engineering work for assigned projects or relevant subproject segments.
- Generates Basis of Estimate Coordinate cost estimates for new motor controller and electric drive systems teamwork, including coordinating with multifunctional support teams.
- Manages project resources and compiles cumulative project Schedule Performance
- Index and Cost Performance Index (SPI/CPI) status.
- Collects and presents earned value tracking status for assigned motor controller projects.
- Prepares program change requests for new motor controller project subtasks and tracking for program directed technical approach, budget, and schedule changes.
- Presents monthly program reviews and reports 4-up chart status with director level manager.
- Requests resources for electrical circuit design, electrical systems engineering or mechanical engineering support to match project man-loading level demand.
- Establishes executable plan to accomplish motor controller project tasks quickly using agile processes and “do different” methods to produce rapid prototype motor controller hardware/software.
- Ensures that all assigned program milestones are tracked, schedules are met on-time and on budget. Alert program management and engineering management early to risks and opportunities that affect the planned schedule.
- Present preliminary and detailed designs to customers and chief engineers at program design reviews.
**YOU MUST HAVE**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Aerospace, computer engineering, or control theory
- Advanced English
- 5 Years of experience Leading Projects

- Significant hands-on experience in Systems/Electro-Mechanical engineering projects
- Ability to develop expert knowledge of motor controllers, actuator controllers, and power electronics.
- Leading and driving root cause and corrective action process
- Ability to produce white papers to document findings, and results of trade studies
- Composing PowerPoint presentations for peer reviews, team meetings, program design reviews, and phase gate activities
- Familiarity with aircraft and aerospace testing standards, such as DO-178B, DO-160 desired
- Knowledge of systems and project engineering best practices, systems integration, verification of requirements, and validation of system functionality
