Senior territory account manager - caribbean

join illumina as a senior territory account manager for caribbean countries. Work in a collaborative, customer‐centric environment that expands access to genomic technology and contributes to health equity worldwide.

position summary

the sr. Territory account manager supports the local channel partner team in identifying, qualifying, and capturing new business for illumina. The role builds and sustains relationships with key customers, channel partners, and internal stakeholders. Sales strategies are developed and executed in partnership with channel and illumina management, supported by regional marketing to drive volume and profit growth.

key responsibilities
* develop strategic plans to win new business with channel partners, expanding market share and maintaining a qualified pipeline.
* identify innovative and competitive solutions to customer challenges, maximizing return on investment for illumina.
* train channel partner sales teams on illumina sales processes and products.
* execute strategies and campaigns in core competencies to target and win opportunities.
* maintain broad knowledge of market environment, trends, competition, and marketplace strategies.
* initiate, develop, build, and maintain long‐term relationships with all customer levels.
* collaborate with the regional illumina team and channel partners to deliver creative solutions and innovate problem‐solving approaches.
qualifications
* bachelor's degree in sciences, genetics, genomics, or related field (ph.d. or mba a plus).
* experience with ngs technology required; array experience preferred.
* 5+ years of relevant sales experience.
* strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to customers and prospects.
* experience in giving customer‐facing presentations.
* excellent organizational skills and ability to work as part of a multifunctional team.
* knowledge of microsoft excel and outlook (sfdc, jde a plus).
* field‐based location in mexico (optional bogotá).
* fluent in spanish and english.

central america (guatemala, el salvador, honduras, nicaragua, costa rica, panama) + caribbean (dominican republic, puerto rico, jamaica, trinidad & tobago, bahamas, etc.).
