This role is part of the e-core cpu team in guadalajara, mexico, focused on pre‑silicon verification of new and existing features for intel’s next‑generation cpu ip, ensuring bug‑free final design.
key responsibilities
* develop pre‑si validation test plans and test scenarios to prove the correctness of the design.
* build components for a simulation‑based environment (bfms, trackers, checkers, scoreboards, and testbenches).
* perform and debug digital simulations, driving bugs to closure.
* develop functional coverage and achieve coverage goals.
* collaborate closely with design engineers, micro‑architects, and other team members to ensure high‑quality test plans, functional coverage, and tests.
* deliver high‑quality output against deadlines in a cross‑site team environment.

minimum qualifications
* pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, electronic engineering, systems engineering, mechatronics, or a related field, with at least one year remaining before graduation.
* 4 months of experience in digital design, asic design flow, and computer architecture.
* experience with programming/scripting languages such as c/c++, perl, ruby, python, and unix (linux).
* knowledge of hardware description languages such as vhdl, verilog, or system verilog.
* basic skills in pre‑si validation, e.g., logic simulators (xilinx, quartus, modelsim, vcs) and debugging.
* advanced english level and unrestricted permanent right to work in mexico (no visa or immigration sponsorship).
preferred qualifications
* basic testbench development and test scenarios writing.
* knowledge of functional coverage concepts and implementation.
