reporting directly to the indirect procurement manager, the sourcing manager will lead procurement activities within capex and mro categories across all industrial business unit facilities in north america, primarily servicing the largest sites in piedras negras and matamoros.
key responsibilities
lead sourcing and procurement activities for capex and mro categories across ibu facilities.
collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement sourcing projects, consolidate the supplier base, and negotiate improved pricing.
manage suppliers to ensure cost, quality, and delivery performance.
develop and execute annual cost-reduction plans and savings initiatives.
work with engineering and plant teams to implement cost-saving projects.
conduct regular supplier business reviews and support supply chain risk mitigation.
ensure accurate reporting of procurement kpis and adherence to internal procurement policies.
travel a majority of the time within north america, primarily to piedras negras and matamoros.
qualifications
bachelor's degree required.
5–7 years of indirect procurement experience, with strong knowledge of suppliers in northern mexico.
expertise in capex and/or mro procurement desired.
deep procurement experience and strong analytical skills.
fluent english communication skills, both written and verbal.
proficiency in erp systems (sap preferred), excel, and powerpoint.
strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and project-management skills.
ability to drive cost-reduction initiatives and develop strategic sourcing solutions.
