Job Description
We are seeking a
Commissioning Manager
to lead planning, execution, and validation activities for
electrical and mechanical systems
in mission-critical
data center construction projects. This role ensures that all systems are commissioned to meet industry standards, client expectations, and performance goals for full operational readiness.
Responsibilities
Commissioning Planning and Execution
Develop, review, and implement
Commissioning Plans, Procedures, and Schedules
tailored to high-density infrastructure projects.
Oversee commissioning inspections, testing, and validations of
power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and other facility-critical assets.
Manage and close
RFI (Request for Information)
workflows related to commissioning scope.
Document commissioning findings, non-conformance issues, and resolutions with precision and compliance traceability.
Coordination and Communication
Coordinate with
design teams, contractors, and vendors, ensuring commissioning activities align with project specifications and milestones.
Provide technical support and clear guidance to cross-functional teams during pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.
Actively participate in project meetings and regularly report on commissioning status and readiness.
Quality Assurance and Control
Ensure full compliance of commissioning processes with
local and international standards, client-specific protocols, and safety guidelines.
Witness and validate
site tests, perform audits, and resolve field discrepancies that impact performance and handover quality.
Risk Management
Identify and mitigate technical and execution risks during the commissioning lifecycle.
Track and report on risk mitigation strategies and outcomes across all relevant systems.
Documentation and Reporting
Prepare and maintain full commissioning documentation including:
Sequence of Energization Plans
Inspection and Test Reports
Functional Test Scripts
Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
and
Field Witness Testing (FWT)
reports.
Ensure all deliverables meet project turnover requirements and are approved by the appropriate stakeholders.
Schedule Monitoring
Oversee commissioning timelines against
project execution schedules.
Monitor equipment
delivery milestones
and readiness for energization and integration.
Qualifications
Proven experience in
commissioning management for electrical systems, ideally in
data center or high-tech industrial facilities.
Strong background in
technical analysis
and hands-on validation of critical infrastructure systems.
Engineering degree in
Electrical,
Mechanical,
Mechatronic, or related field.
Proficiency in
commissioning documentation, scheduling tools, and industry-standard test procedures.
Fluent in
Spanish and English, with effective technical communication skills.
Experience preparing commissioning documentation for
design-build environments
is highly desirable.
