About the role the senior operations accounting manager, while reporting to the global controller, is responsible for the membranes manufacturing operations accounting, financial consolidation and financial statement preparation processes and supporting various forms of financial analysis for the ~$270m business. Responsibilities oversee all accounting operations for the membranes business in mexico, including a/r, a/p, g/l, inventory/cost accounting, variance analysis and revenue recognition. Report weekly financial results, metrics and detailed global cash forecasts by location and on a consolidated basis to senior management, investors and creditors. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for operations. Partner with operations leadership to analyze manufacturing variances, profitability by plant, product line, product, and region to identify inefficiencies, and develop strategic improvements. Develop and maintain standard cost models and analyze production costs to ensure accurate financial reporting. Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and scenario analysis. Track and analyze kpis related to production, supply chain, and cost efficiency. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve operational performance. Oversee standard costing, inventory valuation, and cost accounting processes. Drive initiatives to reduce waste, improve margins, and optimize resource allocation. Collaborate with operations managers, supply chain, and procurement teams to align financial goals with operational strategies. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support continuous improvement initiatives. Work directly with various global site accounting and operational teams to complete financial close process in a timely manner, while also fulfilling accounting and finance support needs globally on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Lead role in managing external independent audit of company's financial statements. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of operational financials. Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and corporate policies. Collaborate with global teams, including those at a new flagship manufacturing facility in mexico, to ensure consistency in financial practices and operational reporting. Acquisition due diligence support and integration into our systems and processes. Update/maintain accounting policies & procedures, support strong internal controls & consistent quality of financial results. Qualifications +7 years of extensive financial and accounting experience including direct responsibility for complex, global financial closing, and consolidation processes. Strong mexican accounting and financial experience including experience interpreting and applying u.s. Gaap and other technical authoritative guidance for financial reporting both mexico and in other countries, as applicable. Detailed understanding and application of cost accounting methodologies and manufacturing accounting and analysis. Highly disciplined individual with strong attention to detail and strict adherence to all deadlines. Ability to work in a very fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment with a sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy in all financial reporting and analysis requirements. Collaborative and proactive individual with demonstrated ability to interface with various cross-functional teams on a global basis. Team player with high emotional intelligence and ability to work under pressure while multi-tasking and prioritizing various roles and responsibilities.
