Job summary
to support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an assy process engineer based in guadalajara north, reporting to the process engineering manager. This role focuses on process-engineering capabilities aimed at cost, quality, and delivery improvements within our manufacturing organization.
what a typical day looks like:
1. recognize the manufacturing processes, technologies, techniques, and the product.
2. define, implement, and evaluate designs and processes for manufacturability.
3. identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process, independently or with engineering stakeholders.
4. participate actively in daily production activities and solve problems effectively.
5. prepare justification, purchase, and implement capital equipment for production.
6. oversee new process equipment production and the introduction of engineering change orders (ecos).
7. establish robust, repeatable, and reproducible process parameters.
8. develop and own process control methodologies.
9. troubleshoot process-related issues.
10. participate in cycle time and process improvement activities.
11. evaluate and select engineered materials.
12. implement statistical process research on new and existing products.
13. implement safety, productivity, and efficiency improvements.
14. improve manufacturing techniques and throughput.
15. develop and maintain process documentation.
16. review processing methods and interface with production for new process implementation and transfer.
17. assist in training and provide training to production personnel during new technology transfers.
18. provide equipment maintenance and repair support as required.
19. guide cost improvement and reduction programs.
the experience we’re looking to add to our team:
* bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.
* proficiency with tools such as electronic assembly (color coding, schematics), automation, design assembly tools, programming torques, flowcharts, and pcb operations.
* experience with testing equipment (oscilloscopes, cable and harness testing, troubleshooting, component testing, logic analyzers), inspection tools, and mechanical & electrical tools.
* fluent in english.
* knowledge of process control methodologies and statistical research.
