position overview responsibilities
* perform complex business and systems analysis work; conduct requirements gathering/analysis via information gathering sessions with business users and technical staff.
* develop supporting process flows.
* conduct analysis of existing business processes and recommend process improvements.
* build and implement new business process solutions in sap s/4 hana related to finance process improvements.
* provide data expertise and consulting related to operational reporting and analytics.
* consult with business users to improve adoption and efficient use of all systems related to finance job functions.
* create and manage workflows in sap s/4 hana as they pertain to business processes.
* assist in the evaluation of third‑party tools for feasibility and impact to the business.
* work with the corporate systems team to design and implement integrations between sap s/4 hana and external systems.
* create and maintain business requirement documentation, including use cases, process flows, and system interface diagrams.
* create design documentation based on business requirements.
* communicate effectively with business users on the status of enhancements and projects.
* develop comprehensive test plans with users, coordinate test activities and/or help execute test components.
* develop and perform training for business process owners and subject matter experts as necessary.
* create functional design documents in a clear and concise manner to facilitate custom developments.
* perform other duties as required.
qualifications
* bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
* minimum six years of experience working with sap in a business analyst / functional role preferred.
* experience with s/4 hana a plus.
* minimum four years of experience on large projects or programs related to finance preferred.
* experience working for a public company with international experience is strongly desired.
* hands‑on experience in sap controlling—product costing and sap group reporting are highly desired.
* experience with inter‑company transactions; 4pl integrations for finance; record to report; product costing; group reporting; order to cash; procure to pay; plan to produce; month‑end/year‑end close procedures; consolidations and financial reporting.
* proven ability to provide business analysis and system configuration deliverables related to process improvement.
* experience supporting or working with finance organizations, preferably in pharmaceutical, medical device, or other regulatory controlled industries.
* sap s/4 hana certifications preferred.
* proven knowledge of the software and systems development life cycle.
* strong functional knowledge of finance business processes.
* working knowledge of cross‑functional areas related to postings in fi.
* expert level knowledge of integration points for fico with other components of sap s/4 hana.
* expert level functional knowledge in sap co—product costing and profitability analysis would be a plus.
* good technical knowledge of banking interfaces for both outgoing and incoming payments.
* experience in electronic bank statement processing would be a plus.
* basic technical knowledge of sap tables related to fi and other cross‑functional components, including the universal journal in s/4 hana.
* overall knowledge of sap landscapes, transport paths and change management; knowledge of sap security/fiori apps for building user roles, access control and support sox audits.
