At grupo vidanta, we are seeking a performance & sports medicine therapist to support the health, safety, and performance of our artists in a high-demand, world-class live entertainment environment. This role is ideal for a professional passionate about performance medicine, injury prevention, and working closely with artists in a dynamic theatrical setting.
Position objective
provide specialized medical care to artists, including emergency medical management, injury rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, and preventive care, ensuring optimal physical performance and daily medical support in a professional stage environment.
Key responsibilities
conduct comprehensive physical assessments and provide clinical care, rehabilitation, and emergency response aligned with the functional demands of artists.
Deliver timely and effective emergency medical care and actively participate in emergency preparedness and response protocols.
Maintain close communication with the lead therapist, artistic director, trainers, and stage management regarding artists' functional and medical status.
Collaborate in the development and implementation of injury prevention and conditioning programs.
Accurately document and manage all medical records in compliance with legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards.
Accompany artists to medical appointments when required and manage related insurance and medical documentation.
Manage medical and emergency supplies inventory and maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external medical agreements and regulations.
Requirements
education
bachelor's degree in physiotherapy / physical therapy or certification in athletic therapy / athletic training.
Valid cpr / aed certification.
Postgraduate studies or additional certifications in manual therapy, exercise progression, or emergency care are highly desirable.
Experience
minimum 4 years of experience in sports, athletic, or performance-related musculoskeletal clinical care (field or event coverage preferred).
Proven experience in movement assessment, musculoskeletal evaluation, and functional rehabilitation.
Skills & competencies
strong emergency medical management skills.
Solid knowledge of strength and conditioning principles.
Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
High ethical standards and professionalism.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
Previous experience in theatrical, live performance, or show environments is a strong advantage.
Languages
fully bilingual in english and spanish (mandatory).
Availability & location
availability and willingness to relocate and reside in quintana roo, mexico.
