The ehs coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, company standards and policies. This role plays a key part in fostering a culture of safety and sustainability within a manufacturing environment focused on aluminum die casting.
key responsibilities
* implement and monitor ehs policies, procedures, and programs.
* conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
* investigate incidents, accidents and near-misses; recommend and follow up on corrective actions.
* coordinate and deliver ehs-related training sessions for employees.
* ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
* maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and reporting.
* collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in ehs performance.
qualifications
* bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health, safety engineering, or a related field.
* minimum of 3 years of experience in ehs roles within a manufacturing environment.
* strong knowledge of ehs regulations and standards.
* experience with iso 45001 and iso 14001 management systems.
* knowledge in handling emergencies specific to aluminum die casting processes.
* excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* english proficiency at a minimum of 80% conversational level.
* knowledge in behavior-based safety (bbs) programs
