responsibilities:
1. provide user support as needed.
2. perform monthly ftas and track countermeasures.
3. monitor security and event logs monthly and document issues.
4. maintain updated copy of software licenses and contact info for disaster recovery.
5. manage and track company software discs and storage.
6. update instant support and support ticket logs as required.
7. manage system upgrade projects as scheduled.
8. track and maintain inventory and assets
9. monitor firewall logs and investigate potential intrusions or errors
10. monitor virus and threat messages on servers and workstations and remove any that are found. Countermeasure required.
11. daily server performance monitoring and tracking
12. perform monthly server maintenance tasks
13. update time tracking as required.
14. ensure that cables and it equipment are neat and tidy in all production and office areas
15. ensure that office and server room areas are neat and orderly before leaving for the day
16. attend meetings as required.
17. attend it safety and 3s audits.
18. attend dock audit for quality once per quarter
19. comply with the applicable hse, environment and health rules.
qualifications:
20. bilingual: english/spanish.
21. solid analytical and communication (oral & written) skills.
22. knowledge of principles and capabilities of computer systems, including networked environments and peripheral devices.
23. knowledge of local area network (lan) principles.
24. knowledge of local system access and security guidelines and procedures. Knowledge of microsoft exchange server 2003 configuration and maintenance. Knowledge of server virtualization - vsphere
25. knowledge of data management and backup processes.
26. advanced knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting techniques. Advanced knowledge of ms office applications and personal computers, and other software applications that are unique to each department.
27. knowledge of the principles and practices of ethical and professional rules of conduct.
28. skill in using advanced tools for monitoring and troubleshooting network and servers, equipment and procedures for repairing computers, peripheral devices, and telecommunications equipment.
29. skill in exercising judgment to apply effective troubleshooting procedures for computer systems in a multiple operating system environment.
30. skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with department staff.
31. skill in following and effectively communicating verbal and written instructions. Advanced skill in organization and time management principles.
32. skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands.

34. bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer engineering, or other it related field; or equivalent
35. 3 experienced year in it field.
