jr. Project controller specialist
location: monterrey, mexico (hybrid)
we are seeking a project controller to support our operations team, primarily with internal projects. Responsibilities include:
* managing project documentation such as proposals, sows, piws, msas, pos, understanding their legal frameworks.
* generating weekly reports on project status, billings, and expenses.
* reviewing project reports, analyzing project status, and advising on forecasts and corrective actions.
* handling invoices via sap.
* managing collections and unbilled receivables across regions.
* approving timesheets and expenses.
* monitoring budgets in multiple currencies.
* reporting on project metrics and collaborating with finance and other controllers.
* updating crm opportunities and contributing to project deliverables.
additional duties may include:
* coordinating cross-functional activities.
* forecasting budgets and bookings.
* participating in internal projects related to practice, executive, or operations teams.
requirements & qualifications
* 1-2 years of experience preferred.
* bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, math, or economics.
* advanced degrees or experience in auditing, controlling, or related fields are a plus.
* high academic performance (minimum 87.5/100 gpa) is highly preferred.
* experience with bookkeeping, invoicing, accounts receivable, and sap.
* understanding of vat across countries.
* proficiency in ms office, especially excel and powerpoint; powerbi experience a plus.
* ability to work independently and effectively in a virtual team.
* strong analytical, technical, and communication skills.
* excellent organizational and time management skills.
* fluent in english, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
* authorized to work in mexico.
our hybrid policy requires employees to work onsite at least three days a week (monday, tuesday, thursday).
