We are seeking a skilled controls engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for providing technical support to engineering, quality, and new product development teams.
key responsibilities
* provide technical guidance and assistance to cross-functional teams
* lead and participate in continuous improvement projects to boost productivity and reduce costs
* diagnostics and troubleshooting of electrical and programming issues
* oversee and maintain scanners, cameras, and control systems
* implement new procedures, documentation, and methods to improve efficiency
* perform and document preventive maintenance as scheduled
* support production, engineering, and quality areas during model changes, audits, and process improvements, ensuring timely execution and reporting
* actively engage in plant initiatives such as 5's, tpm, and kaizen events
* participate in safety and operational activities, including brigades, drills, and safety documentation
requirements
* proven experience in metal-mechanical manufacturing processes
* advanced knowledge of electricity (medium/high voltage, electrical controls), pneumatics, and hydraulics
* strong skills in interpreting technical drawings and schematics
* bachelor's degree in electromechanics, electronics, or mechatronics (or equivalent proven experience in process control)
* solid knowledge of plc systems (allen bradley - rs logix 500, 5000, studio 5000, factory talk, ignition)
* strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, and service orientation, with the ability to perform under pressure
* good computer literacy and ability to read technical manuals in english
* desirable: experience in welding processes (mig, resistance, friction)
* availability to work different shifts and adaptable schedules
