About the role:
as director of supply chain logistics, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to manage materials purchasing, logistics, and warehousing policies.
you will collaborate with operations and finance departments to create effective business plans, oversee shipping methods, and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, delivery time, and customer service.
key responsibilities:
* oversee air freight, trucking, rail, or marine transport.
* manage brokers and customs to ensure timely delivery to destinations.
* direct shipping and receiving functions.
* evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, delivery time, and customer service.
* develop annual budgets and long-term strategic plans.
* review inventory levels and pricing strategies to ensure efficient use of resources.
* monitor supply chain performance to meet goals.
* lead a team of supply chain specialists.
* implement continuous improvement in the supply chain process.
* develop procurement policies and procedures.
* maintain supply chain inventory and records.
* resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
requirements:
* bachelor's degree in business, finance, or relevant field.
* master's business administration preferred.
* 100% bilingual, english & spanish.
* 10+ years relevant materials management & purchasing experience.
* experience in international supply chains and managing teams in different locations.
