- provide local instrumental support in defining and executing commodity strategy within the plant in conformance to the road map defined with commodity leaders
- cover purchased price and supplier operational risk through negotiating firm lta/ agreements against the assigned negotiation sow statement of work
- assist instrumentally in budget planning and tracking for purchased assemblies
- coordinate the local purchasing value creation plan and transitions between incumbents and future sources
- foster and monitor adequate sap/ erp supplier and part and price configuration to allow for seamless ordering process with contracted partners
- foster technical productivity & product continuous improvement initiatives on mature purchased products through managing a local material steering committee
- spearhead vmi contract roll out with suppliers
- assist the in providing case data to feed supplier recovery plans and claims to vendors
- help track local direct & indirect cost for amounts to reclaim, assist negotiation with faulty vendors
- cadence the publishing of supplier score card at plant level on 80/20 pareto top $ + top offender vendors
