the oe engineer partners with multiple stakeholders to drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost while ensuring alignment with baker hughes governance standards and operational priorities.responsibilitiesdriving deployment of operational excellence strategy across i&s projects, translating business goals into actionable initiatives and kpispromoting a strong hse culture by ensuring compliance with baker hughes non-negotiables and embedding safety practices across all operationsleading performance management systems, including kpi tracking, reporting, visual management, and governance routinesfacilitating operational excellence reviews and cross-functional governance forums such as reliability councilssupporting reliability improvement through root cause analysis (rca), field incident management process (fimp), and corrective actions to reduce non-productive time (npt)collaborating with product lines, suppliers, and quality teams to enhance project execution, supplier performance, and customer outcomesdriving digital enablement through tools such as power bi, maps, and other systems to improve data visibility and predictive insightsleading continuous improvement initiatives using structured methodologies (e.g., lean, dmaic) to deliver measurable business impactembedding risk management, readiness, and management of change (moc) practices into project executionsupporting audit readiness and integrating assurance outcomes through a three lines of defense approachcoaching teams and leaders on operational excellence principles, problem-solving techniques, and performance improvement frameworkspromoting standardization, simplification, and scalability of best practices across projectsqualificationshold a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline (petroleum engineering preferred)have 5+ years of experience in oil and gas, ideally in drilling, completions, or integrated project environmentsdemonstrate strong knowledge of well construction/completion operations and field service deliverypossess experience in operational excellence, continuous improvement, or reliability engineering practicesshow strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skillshave excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a global matrix organizationbe proficient in digital and reporting tools such as power bi and ms officedemonstrate strong leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilitiesdesired characteristicsexperience with lean six sigma, dmaic, or similar continuous improvement frameworksstrong understanding of performance management systems and strategy deploymentknowledge of reliability engineering, rca methodologies, and risk managementfamiliarity with digital systems such as maps, fracas, bhos, or similarstrong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across functions and culturessolid understanding of assurance frameworks and governance modelsbenefitscompetitive work-life balance and wellbeing programscomprehensive medical care optionslife insurance and disability coveragetailored financial programsadditional voluntary benefitsflexible working arrangements including a mix of office-based and remote work, with occasional travel to project sites or operational hubs.baker hughes company is an equal opportunity employer.
