responsible for supporting mold makers in the manufacturing of components, fixtures, molds, repairs and reworks through the generation of cad/cam programs. Coordinates with engineering and machine shop supervisor to provide the correct support and monitoring of the machining projects ensuring efficiently flow in addition to complying with the necessary quality standards established in the drawings / designs. Provide feedback to designers to make the machining fast and simple as possible. Supporting with ideas of improvement to meet the metrics established in your work area.

- generation of cad/cam programs.
- manufacture of necessary fixtures for the different areas.
- automation or implementation of improvements to recurring rework by manufacturing.
- coordinate purchases of materials and tools necessary for fabrications and repairs.
- maintain updated cad/cam program database.
- maintain stock of spare parts necessary to reduce downtime in production.
- support any activity that the immediate supervisor req1uests due to company needs.

- bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, tool engineering, related careers.
- years and area of experience required:_
- 2-5 years of experience in similar positions.
- technical knowledge:_
- handling of cnc machines (mill, lathe, sinker edm and wire edm).
- solidworks, autocad & mastercam.
- solving problem techniques (5 why's, 8d's, etc.)
- measurement equipment
- sap
- reverse engineering
- geometric dimensioning & tolerancing
- steel types, hardness and tempering processes.
- types & mold classification
- mold mechanisms (rack, sliders, lifter, servomotors, etc.).
- handling of conventional machines (lathe, mill, grinder, etc.).
