Overview
Eli Lilly is advancing the standard of care in diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular risk. We are seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL)—transforming data into clinical value, capturing actionable insights, and supporting cross-functional strategies that speed patient access to innovation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Scientific Engagement & Education – Deliver balanced, evidence-based discussions and tailored education to cardiologists, endocrinologists, internists, and payer influencers.
2. KOL Relationship Management – Map, prioritize, and sustain trust-based partnerships with scientific & clinical experts.
3. Insight Generation – Capture unmet needs and therapeutic trends; translate findings into concise reports that drive medical plans, evidence generation, and launch tactics.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration – Provide compliant scientific support to Access, Commercial, Regulatory, Marketing, Compliance, and any function requiring medical input in a non-promotion way.
5. Compliance Leadership – Uphold Lilly’s ethics culture and ensure all activities meet local/global standards and regulations.
Required Qualifications
1. Education: MD, PharmD, PhD, or MSc strongly preferred; minimum bachelor’s in life sciences.
2. Experience: 2 years in clinical practice, Medical Affairs, R&D;, or related pharmaceutical roles.
3. Language: Fluent English and Spanish; able to present complex data and manage Q&A; in both.
4. Scientific Communication: Proven record of high-impact presentations or publications.
5. Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office; comfortable in KPI/CRM environments.
6. Relationship & Analytical Skills: Ability to build multidisciplinary networks and translate interactions into strategic recommendations.
7. Mobility: Willing to travel ~40% nationally, including overnight trips.

- Knowledge of COFEPRIS, CNIS, CSG processes and payer engagement.
- Experience with real-world evidence (RWE) or investigator-initiated trials.

Medical Scientific Liaison (Pfizer) – General Responsibilities
Responsibilities include delivering updated scientific information to a broad group of healthcare professionals, visiting key physicians countrywide, and maintaining cross-functional interactions with the Business Unit. The MSL provides scientific information to HCPs to increase knowledge about disease, diagnosis, drug efficacy, safety, and proper use. It requires awareness of the latest medical/scientific information for the therapeutic area, maintaining relationships with KOLs and academic centers, and developing scientific materials with input from Medical Manager. Coordinates medical events, participates in educational programs, supports field teams, and ensures compliance with internal policies. Prefer prior MSL experience and willingness to work in public institutions. Location: Mexico City with field travel. Requirements: Medical degree (Internal Medicine preferred), experience in hematology and endocrinology; 4-6 years of related experience; English proficiency; strong presentation and analytical abilities; CRM and tech-savviness; willingness to travel.
