*diesel technician/marine engines opportunity summary*:
we are seeking a motivated and skilled diesel marine engine technician, who is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and diagnosing both routine maintenance and emergency services on marine engines (yachts, personal and/or commercial vessels) while making repair recommendations to customers.
*job duties*:
- perform quality repairs and maintenance on inboard marine diesel engines as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures.
- accurately complete all required paperwork (e.g., repair information on work orders, information for state and emission inspections) in a timely manner.
- diagnose failure of vessels by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
- dedication and adherence to all company and industry safety standards.
- inspect vital parts to ensure they are in proper operating conditions.
*work experience & qualifications*:
- 2+ years of diesel repair and maintenance experience in a heavy truck/ fleet dealership or shop environment.
- strong working knowledge of multiple systems (e.g., transmissions, engines, hydraulics, etc.), diagnostics, and troubleshooting diesel engines.
- computer and software skills including microsoft office suite.
