the assistant to the plant director plays a vital role in supporting the director in the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility. This individual ensures seamless administrative support, helps coordinate plant activities, assists with reporting and data analysis, and contributes to maintaining operational efficiency.
*responsibilities*
- provide high-level administrative support to the plant director.
- assist in coordinating and tracking key manufacturing projects and initiatives.
- schedule and manage meetings, prepare agendas, and record minutes.
- support data collection, reporting, and analysis of production metrics and kpis.
- prepare presentations, reports, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- facilitate communication between departments and ensure timely follow-up on action items.
- help manage calendars, travel arrangements, and expense reporting.
- maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- assist in organizing audits, inspections, and compliance-related activities.support lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and safety initiatives as directed.
*qualifications*
- bachelor’s degree in business administration, industrial engineering, operations management, or a related field preferred
- 2-4 years of administrative or operational experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- proficient in microsoft office suite (excel, powerpoint, word, outlook).
- ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.familiarity with manufacturing operations, safety standards, and production processes is a plus.

- the role is primarily based in a manufacturing facility, requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams.
- required to wear personal protective equipment (ppe) and adhere to safety protocols.
- the role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.
