Job title: erp global business finance analyst
the role involves playing a leadership part in global qad implementations.
this position participates in application requirement analysis, detailed project specifications development, and major business initiative implementation. The analyst will work closely with business and it operations to continually optimize current business processes and practices.
* key responsibilities:
* owning global finance relationship for new site implementation & process optimization.
* providing leadership on issue resolution, often involving qad and service providers.
* driving governance and approach on enhancements to ensure technical feasibility and global relevancy.
* writing functional specifications into technical specifications, getting quotes, testing programs, creating and updating work aids.
* supporting and approving data change requests on user acceptance and production databases.
* participating in kaizens roadmap building with sites op-ex manager.
* participating on kaizen events and assuring standard operations procedures and work aids are followed and updated.
* traveling and visiting other sites to check best practices and coordinate events with functional leads.
* participating in quality iso/sox audits closure sessions.
* participating in budget building, including license revision and supplier support hours agreement.
* providing training to functional leads on qad new enhancements.
* supporting sites for qad new implementations.
* assisting in creating current state using the sop standard format.
* assisting in creating future state using the sop standard format.
* identifying gaps and writing functional and technical specifications.
* writing testing scripts for conference room pilots.
* assisting functional leads on execution of scripts.
* writing/updating work aids needed to execute processes assigned.
* validating data transfer from previous systems.
* developing training material and conducting training to functional leads.
required skills and qualifications:
* college diploma or university degree in business administration, computer science, accounting, or management information systems.
* proven experience in overseeing design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
* extensive experience (7+ years) with targeted erp application: qad, sap, or oracle; qad preferred.
* 2+ years of management or project management experience.
* working knowledge of barcode scanning systems and database query tools.
* working knowledge of edi with preference in european bank drivers.
* excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
* able to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
* able to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
* highly self-motivated and directed.
