Lead the opening and implementation and manage the daily operations of our warehouse in monterrey, nuevo leon, mexico, maintaining high levels of accuracy in daily operations, lead and develop the warehouse team, as well as provide impeccable service to our customers. Also explore the local market to develop new business in the region and grow the business with current customers.
main functions:
* coordinate the opening and installation of the warehouse (infrastructure, permits, resources).
* directing the operational personnel of the region.
* supervise the activities of the warehouse: reception, storage, assortment and delivery.
* ensure inventories with ≥99% accuracy and kpi compliance.
* coordinate with customer service and material planning to ensure availability.
* interact with customers regarding the development, functionality and improvement of programs, including: purchasing, quality, engineering and other disciplines.
* participate in price negotiation with clients, ensure margins and positive profitability.
* manage team building and warehouse team motivation with the help of human resources.
* develop new accounts and strengthen relationships with current customers.
* promote and implement operational and business improvements (lean, vmi, etc.).
* report key indicators and monthly action plans.
* ensure regulatory and corporate compliance in safety, quality, and legality.
* perform a general inspection of all equipment used in the warehouse and schedule maintenance when necessary.
* participate in the process of continuous improvement. Recommending and implementing changes to help improve service levels and reduce operational costs.
* identify the best prospects in the target segments.
* organize business development meetings with potential customers.
aptitudes, knowledge and skills:
* advanced proficiency in microsoft office (outlook, excel, word).
* advanced english (fluent in negotiation and presentations).
* experience in erp systems; epicor p21 desirable.
* knowledge in logistics processes, warehouse management, vmi and industrial sales.
* leadership, decision-making, results-oriented, and working under pressure.
* negotiation skills, effective communication and team management.
* high capacity for organization, autonomy and initiative.
professional requirements:
* bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, administration or related.
* ≥5 years of experience in warehouse operation.
* ≥3 years in commercial functions and service to industrial customers.
* proven experience in opening distribution centers.
* availability to travel (requires a valid visa and passport).
