As a suplier quality engineer, you will ensure excellence in supplier quality management by validating compliance standards, conducting systematic evaluations, and monitoring cost‑quality‑delivery performance. You will find and address supply chain quality risks through audits, process improvements, and non‑conformity resolution. Additionally, you will lead continuous improvement projects with strategic suppliers and collaborate with global supplier management teams for system optimization.

key responsibilities
* lead the execution of supplier evaluations and audits, and lead both corrective and preventive actions based on findings.
* manage supplier quality operational issues that impact local operations and end customers, addressing non‑conformities promptly and leading root cause analysis.
* lead the claim process until you return the product and create a credit note.
* manage supplier goals, such as number of rejections, recurrences, and on‑time deliveries.
* ensure suppliers have training in defect prevention generated by material supply.
* collaborate with purchasing and technical laboratory teams to point out suppliers with quality‑cost‑delivery impact.
* validate that suppliers have training on quality systems, process control, and problem‑solving methodologies.
* be a primary quality liaison between us and suppliers, and between other teams.
* ensure agreement, execution, and effectiveness of changes in procedures, updates, and global quality alerts.
qualifications
* bachelor's degree in engineering.
* more than 3 years of experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, or a related role in the automotive or chemical manufacturing industry.
* knowledge of automotive quality core tools and quality systems (iatf 16949).
* desirable to be a certified lead auditor in iatf 16949 / vda.
* fluent english.
* availability to travel frequently within the region.
