Responsibilities
* ensure that company's products and processes meet established quality standards by identifying shortfalls, developing corrective measures, and implementing quality control systems.
* develop and implement quality standards and control systems, focusing on improving quality control.
* monitor and analyze quality performance and associated kpis, presenting improvement plans to management in weekly meetings.
* problem‑solve using 8d, a3 methodology, pdca, rca, six sigma tools or others, developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
* continuously improve quality by challenging results of quality kpis, evaluating, analysing, and collaborating to achieve goals such as first pass yield, rework, product audits, and scrap.
* strongly communicate the performance and results of the quality system and kpis with manufacturing personnel and report to top management.
* inspect and test materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
* support and actively participate in all projects such as npi, vertical integrations, cr, or others, delivering all project deliverables on time and complete from a quality perspective.
* develop process deviations and communicate them to personnel involved in manufacturing areas.
* develop and maintain necessary documentation, standardise work, procedures, training, and quality documents.
* provide necessary tools (gauges) for product inspection quality.
* control and certify process critical operations, train new operations and changes in process, and communicate with hr for documentation and registration of trainings.
* domestic and international travel required.
qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or related field.
* 5+ years of prior relevant experience as process quality engineer and/or customer quality engineer.
* english proficiency at 90%, effective communication in english with suppliers and corporate team members in the us.
* knowledge in lean manufacturing, problem solving, spc, pdca, a3, and other quality tools.
* must have the ability to interact and work in a factory floor environment.
* excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
* proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as ms office.
* ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment with minimum errors and excellent attention to detail.
